So, I'm a troll entirely set up to see how many terrible comments I could wrangle out of you in exchange for toy donations from my friendslist in lieu of arguing with you monstrous people.

Arguing "on the internet" can only get you so far. And in a case like this, I shouldn't have to. When does making a simple life decision about whether or not have kids become some sort of excuse to be a horrible human being filled with hate and rage over the fact that there are children in existence? When does not wanting kids become a reason to scream at the top of your fatty e-lungs everytime you see a picture of a child on the internet? When does it become ok to become a nasty, bitter git because someone decides to feed her child the way human beings have been feeding children for thousands upon thousands of years? When does it ever become ok to make false police reports against people you happen to disagree with or publicly threaten children in front of them or spoil the magic of christmas for a little one or wish to end an effective system of finding lost children just because it interrupts your sitcoms?

The answer should be never, but alas it isn't. Although deep in my trolly little heart I would love to wave a magic internet wand and make everyone philanthropic instead of viciously misanthropic, I can't. But what I can do is turn this little festering pile of hate into something good for someone, at least.

Turning shit into gold is the whole foundation of "Philanthropy for Misanthropy", a little trolling movement I've started. Instead of arguing with people who will never change their vitriolic minds over the internet, you could take their terrible opinions and behavior and make something awesome out of it in the form of charitable donations.

This year, after getting a little sour in the stomach over some of the retarded things said here about doing terrible things to your fellow human beings, I decided to focus "Philanthropy for Misanthropy" around these parts. For every comment made in agreement with some abhorrent thing I said in this community, people could pledge a certain amount of toys. Coupled with comments made by cf_hardcore members while trolling my own personal journal, it totaled to about 105 comments.

And everyone who pledged toys on my friendslist donated, either through an Amazon Wishlist I set up or through their own means.

Donors who Purchased Toys from The Amazon Wish List. All Toys Purchased from the Wishlist were Donated to The Starlight Foundation through Starbucks.
